## The builder

BoardSnap is an indie product built by DotcomJack — the public-facing name of Jack Brandt, a solo founder and developer based in Detroit. DotcomJack builds focused, high-quality iOS apps that solve specific, real problems.

BoardSnap grew out of a genuine frustration: every meeting that used a whiteboard ended with someone grabbing their phone to snap a photo, and then that photo sat in the camera roll doing nothing. The action items lived in people's heads, not in a task list. BoardSnap fixes that gap.

## The product philosophy

BoardSnap is built with a specific point of view: whiteboards are for working, and the output of that work should be actionable immediately. The app isn't a scanner — it's a task-extraction engine. The decisions your team makes on a board shouldn't require a human to transcribe them into a task manager by hand.

Three taps. One action plan. That's the design constraint every feature is measured against.

## Built for iPhone first

BoardSnap is iPhone-only by design — the phone is already in every meeting room, the camera is already excellent, and VisionKit's on-device whiteboard detection means perspective correction happens without sending a photo anywhere. Building native, building iPhone-first, and building tight was the right call.
