BoardSnap and the iOS share sheet — what's supported.
Short answer
BoardSnap supports the iOS share sheet in two ways: you can share photos into BoardSnap from any app (to import a board image without going through the camera), and you can share summaries and action items out of BoardSnap to any app that accepts text or images.
## Sharing into BoardSnap
BoardSnap accepts photos shared from other iOS apps via the share sheet. If you have a whiteboard photo in Photos, Files, Messages, or any other app, you can tap Share and select BoardSnap to send it directly to a project for analysis. This is the same as importing from the camera roll but can be faster when you're already in another app looking at the photo.
Supported incoming types:
- Photos (JPEG, PNG, HEIC)
- Screenshots
- Shared image files from Files or iCloud Drive
## Sharing out of BoardSnap
After BoardSnap generates a summary and action item list, you can share that output to any iOS app via the share sheet. Tap Share on any board or action item list to:
- Copy the text to clipboard
- Send to Messages or Mail
- Share to Slack, Notion, or any app that accepts text
- Save the summary as a note in Notes or Reminders
- Send to Shortcuts for further automation
## What formats can be shared out
- Plain text — the summary and action item list as formatted text
- Markdown — for tools that render markdown (Notion, Slack, GitHub)
- Image — a rendered card view of the summary (for sharing in visual contexts)
## The share sheet as a bridge
The share sheet is the main bridge between BoardSnap and every other tool in your workflow right now. Until native integrations exist, the share sheet covers the most common output destinations: Slack, email, Notion, Reminders, and any note-taking app.
