Sharing an action plan from BoardSnap — three ways.
Short answer
Share a BoardSnap action plan by tapping the Share button on any board view. You can send the action plan as a formatted text message, email, Slack message, Notion page addition, or copy it to the clipboard. The share sheet routes the content to any app on your iPhone.
## The three most common sharing scenarios
### 1. Share to a team channel in Slack
This is the fastest way to get your action plan in front of the whole team:
- Open the board, tap Share
- Select Slack from the share sheet
- Choose the channel (e.g., #q3-planning, #team-standup)
- Add a quick message context if you want ("From today's kickoff")
- Send
The action items appear in the channel formatted as a clean list. If you use markdown export, Slack renders it with checkboxes.
### 2. Email the action plan
- Tap Share → Mail
- Add recipients
- The subject line pre-fills with the board name
- The action items appear in the body
- Send
Useful when the team is outside Slack or the meeting included external stakeholders.
### 3. Copy and paste
For maximum flexibility:
- Tap Share → Copy
- Open any app — Notion, Linear, Confluence, Google Docs, an SMS thread
- Paste
The copied text is clean and portable — no formatting artifacts.
## What's included in a shared action plan
By default, a shared action plan includes:
- The board name and project
- The AI-generated summary (optional — you can include or exclude it)
- The full action item list with state (open / in-progress / done) and subtasks
## Sharing vs. exporting
"Share" and "export" use the same share sheet mechanism. The difference is mostly conceptual — sharing sends to a person or channel; exporting saves to a file or tool. The tap flow is identical.
Frequently asked
Can I share a link to the board that teammates can click?
Not currently. There's no shareable URL for a BoardSnap board. You share the content (text, image) rather than a link to the board itself.
Can I schedule the action plan to be sent later?
iOS doesn't support scheduled sharing natively. You could use Shortcuts or a third-party app to schedule the delivery of copied content.
