How to add a new project in BoardSnap.
Short answer
To add a new project in BoardSnap, open the app, tap the Projects tab, then tap the plus icon in the top-right corner. Give the project a name, optionally paste your brand URL, and tap Create. New projects are a Pro feature — the free tier includes one project.
## Step-by-step
- Open BoardSnap on your iPhone
- Tap the Projects tab at the bottom of the screen
- Tap the + button in the top-right corner
- Name your project — client name, team, class, or any label that helps you find it later
- Paste a brand URL (optional) — if you want brand-aware summaries, add your company's website here. BoardSnap will fetch the page and extract your brand voice.
- Tap Create
The new project appears in your list and is ready for boards immediately.
## What a project actually does
A project is not just a folder. Each project in BoardSnap has:
- Its own board feed — all snaps in a project live together
- Its own brand voice — if you set a URL, every summary in this project sounds like your brand
- Its own pinned context — pin notes that BoardSnap remembers across every future chat in this project
- Its own AI chat memory — conversations stay scoped to the project
This is what separates BoardSnap from dropping photos into a general AI chat. Each project develops context over time.
## Free tier limitation
The free tier includes one project. If you need a second project — a different client, a different course, a different team — you'll need Pro. Pro unlocks unlimited projects at $9.99/month or $69.99/year.
## Organizing projects well
A few patterns that work well:
- One project per client (consultants)
- One project per class or semester (students)
- One project per product team (PMs and engineers)
- One project per recurring meeting type (weekly strategy, monthly all-hands)
