Can I share a BoardSnap summary? Yes — here's how.
Short answer
Yes. Every BoardSnap board summary and action list can be shared via the iOS share sheet as plain text, exported as PDF, or sent directly to apps like Slack, Mail, Notion, and Messages. Recipients don't need a BoardSnap account or the app — the export is a standard text block that works anywhere.
## How to share a BoardSnap summary
- Open the board in BoardSnap
- Tap the Share icon (top right of the board view)
- Choose your destination from the iOS share sheet:
- Copy — copies the summary and action list as plain text to your clipboard - Slack — sends directly to a Slack channel or DM - Mail — opens a new email with the summary in the body - Messages — sends as an iMessage or SMS - Notion — if Notion is installed, pastes into a Notion page - Save to Files — saves as a text file to iCloud Drive or local storage - Print — triggers the iOS print dialog (also the path to PDF export)
## What the shared content looks like
The plain text export contains:
``` [Project name] — [Board title or date]
Summary [AI-generated summary paragraph]
Action Items • Item one — open • Item two — in-progress • Item three — done ```
This structure is clean enough to paste directly into Confluence, a Notion meeting notes template, a Google Doc, or a Slack post without reformatting.
## Sharing with people who don't have BoardSnap
No account or app required on the recipient's end. The share produces standard text or PDF content. If you share via Slack, the recipient sees a formatted text message. If you send via email, they get the summary in the email body.
## Sharing the board photo alongside the summary
The perspective-corrected board image can be saved to the camera roll from within the app and then shared separately using the standard Photos share sheet. Some teams prefer to send both — the photo as visual reference and the summary as the actionable record.
