BoardSnap API — not yet, but here's what's available.

## Current state

No public API exists. There is no way to programmatically submit a whiteboard image to BoardSnap, retrieve a summary, or read action items from an external system.

This is a gap — particularly for teams that want to pipe BoardSnap output into their own tools (a custom Slack bot, a project management system, an internal dashboard). That use case is real and recognized.

## What you can do today

Share sheet. Every board's summary and action item list can be exported via the iOS share sheet. You can send it to any app that accepts text input — Slack, Notion, Reminders, Mail, Shortcuts, etc. This is manual, not programmatic, but it covers the most common output workflows.

iOS Shortcuts (limited). iOS Shortcuts can intercept share sheet actions and automate simple routing. If you want to automatically send a BoardSnap export to a specific Slack channel or Notion page, Shortcuts can do some of that heavy lifting without a native API.

Copy-paste as a bridge. For teams using Jira, Linear, Asana, or Trello, the current workflow is: snap, let the analysis run, copy the action items, paste them into the target tool. It's a bridge, not an integration — but it works.

## When will a public API ship?

No date is committed. A developer API would unlock a long list of integrations and automation use cases. If API access is important to your workflow or your company, email [email protected] — that directly influences prioritization.
