BoardSnap on iPad: what we know right now.

## Current iPad status

BoardSnap ships as a native iPhone app. It is not yet optimized for iPad. You can technically download it on an iPad through the App Store — Apple allows this — but you'll get the iPhone UI scaled up, not a purpose-built iPad experience.

That means you won't get split-screen, slide-over, the full landscape layout, or the larger canvas that makes iPad genuinely useful for reviewing board summaries alongside notes.

## Why iPad is the natural next step

The core BoardSnap workflow starts with a camera snap. The iPad Pro's 48 MP rear camera and its larger screen make it a strong candidate for both capture and review:

• Capture: Walk up to a whiteboard, hold the iPad, and shoot. The larger viewfinder makes it easier to frame a full board.
• Review: A 12.9" display gives you room to read the summary and manage action items without scrolling constantly.
• Pinned context + AI chat: The iPad's keyboard and multitasking make the project chat experience considerably better than on a small iPhone screen.

## What to do in the meantime

If your primary device is an iPad and you can't wait:

1. Install BoardSnap in iPhone-compatibility mode — it works, just not ideally.
2. Use an iPhone for the Snap step, then review on iPad if you're logged into the same account.
3. Export the action item list via the share sheet and open it on iPad in any notes app.

## Will there be a dedicated iPad app?

Yes — iPad is explicitly next on the platform roadmap. No ship date is committed, but the intent is a native, optimized iPad build rather than just scaling the iPhone UI.
