BoardSnap on Mac: the current roadmap.
Short answer
BoardSnap is not currently available on Mac. A web version is on the longer-term roadmap but has not shipped. The app is iPhone-first, with iPad planned before Mac.
## Why Mac comes after iPhone and iPad
BoardSnap's core job is capture — and capture means a camera pointed at a whiteboard. Your iPhone is always in the room. Your MacBook is usually on a desk or closed in a bag. The camera workflow is native to iPhone in a way it will never be on a laptop.
That said, Mac is relevant for the review-and-execute side of the workflow: reading summaries, editing action items, chatting with a project, managing pinned context. A Mac or web app makes sense for that, even without camera capture.
## What's on the roadmap
Confirmed order:
- iPhone (shipped — available on the App Store now)
- iPad (next)
- Mac / web (longer-term)
No specific date is committed for Mac or web. The web version is the more likely first step, since it covers both Mac and Windows and doesn't require a separate native codebase.
## What Mac users can do today
You can't run BoardSnap natively on a Mac today. Options:
- iPhone for everything. The iPhone experience is complete — snap, summarize, chat, manage action items. Mac would be additive, not required.
- Export and continue on Mac. Export your action item list from BoardSnap via the share sheet. Paste it into Notion, Linear, or any tool you use on Mac.
- Apple Silicon Macs with iPhone app. Some iPhone apps can run on Apple Silicon Macs via the Mac App Store. BoardSnap does not currently enable this, but it's a future possibility.

Frequently asked
Can I run BoardSnap on my M1 or M2 Mac?
Not currently. BoardSnap has not enabled iPhone app compatibility on Apple Silicon Macs. That may change in a future update.
Will there be a Windows version?
Windows is not on the current roadmap. A web app — if and when it ships — would be the path to Windows support.
