BoardSnap and Linear: no integration, but here's how engineers use both.

## The honest status

No Linear integration exists. BoardSnap has no public API, so building a Linear connector isn't possible today — not via Zapier, not via Linear's API, not natively. What exists is a manual copy-paste bridge.

## Why this pairing comes up a lot

Linear is popular with exactly the kind of teams that use whiteboards intensively — engineering squads doing sprint planning, architecture sessions, and incident post-mortems. These are high-information meetings where a lot gets written on boards and a lot needs to become Linear issues.

BoardSnap is used here as the extraction layer: turn the board into a structured list, then move that list into Linear.

## The current workflow

Sprint planning session:

1. Fill the whiteboard with tickets, priorities, and blockers
2. Snap the board at the end of planning
3. BoardSnap AI generates a structured action item list in ~10 seconds
4. Open Linear, start creating issues — paste each action item as an issue title
5. Add labels, assignees, and cycle from within Linear

Architecture session:

1. Diagram the system, mark open questions and decisions
2. Snap the board
3. Review the action items (open questions become Linear issues; decisions become comments on existing issues)
4. Transfer to Linear

## The gap BoardSnap fills

Linear is great for tracking work. It's not great for capturing what happened in a room and deciding what work needs to be tracked. That translation — board content to actionable issues — is what BoardSnap handles. Even without native integration, using both tools is faster than using neither.
